Moringaceae (the sole genus) contains 13 different species of the Moringa Tree. Moringa oleifera (native to the Himalayas) is the most widely cultivated but there are many other Moringa species.
Moringa arborea (Kenya) - contains distinctively large flowers and seeds. Little current knowledge but nutritional value is being studied.
Moringa borziana (Somalia) - very little research but contains high potassium and has traditionally been used to alleviate abdominal pain and for hemorrhoids.
