Moringa-Bee Smoothie

In need of a powerful and energizing smoothie to start your day or help you recover post workout? Look no further. This nutrient packed Moringa smoothie will do just the trick! Moringa and bee pollen contain all the essential components of life. Your body will be infused with proteins, amino acids, and vitamins, including B-complex and folic acid. The B-complex fuels your body and allows you to stay energized throughout the day. Folic acid produces healthy red blood cells and prevents anemia, making it great for pre or post-workout. 

 

 

The sweet fruit, creamy avocado and refreshing mint make it delicious and stimulating. A great addition is blanching some almonds into the smoothie once its fully blended. It adds a nice extra crunch and lots of nutrients and antioxidants. 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • Banana (3/4 frozen babana)

  • Mango (1 cup frozen cubed mango)

  • Acovado (1/4 haas avocado)

  • Spinach (handful or 1/3 cup)

  • Mint (10 medium leaves)

  • Almond milk (1/2 cup)

  • Water (1/4 cup)

  • Chlorophyll (1/2 tsp)

  • Moringa (1 tsp)

  • Bee pollen (1/2 tsp)

  • Almonds (1 small handful or 1/4 cup)

 

Directions:

  1. Place banana, mango, avocado, spinach, mint, almond milk, water, chlorophyll, moringa and bee pollen in blender and blend on low for 10 seconds. Add more water if necessary.

  2. Blend on high speed for another 10 seconds or until creamy and fully blended.

  3. Add the almonds and pulse for 4 seconds. The crunch gives the smoothie an extra dimension and makes it feel more like a meal. Plus it takes longer to consume which is healthier for digestion!
