DIY Aztec-Moringa Face-Mask
In need of a powerful and rejuvenating facial? Try this DIY detoxifying Aztec Moringa face-mask. My roommate is the one who first introduced me to Aztec Secret and I have been addicted ever since. Aztec Secret is a powdered clay that mixed with Moringa and ACV (apple cider vinegar) becomes a potent face-mask.
Vitamin A – promotes a smooth and radiant complexion by repairing skin cells and tissue. Vitamin A also improves acne and redness.
Vitamin C – keeps you looking youthful by assisting collagen production. This powerful antioxidant gives your skin strength and elasticity and naturally helps slow down the ageing process. Get excited for reduced lines and wrinkles.
Vitamin E – improves your skin texture, prevents wrinkles and helps counter the effects of sun damage, smoking and pollution.
Moreover, apple cider vinegar treats blemishes, restores the natural pH of your skin, and minimizes the appearance of pores.
Use a plastic spoon to scoop out a generous spoonful of Aztec Secret and place it in a plastic, glass or clay bowl. (Do not use a metal spoon or bowl as it activates the Bentonite clay).
Next take out a spoonful of Moringa and add it to your bowl.
Add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the bowl and mix together until you get a smooth but thick consistency.
When you first pour in the apple cider vinegar it will fizz a bit. This is normal and means it's working. Once the ingredients are mixed it should look like the below. Feel free to add more powder or ACV accordingly.
Apply it to your face with your fingers or cosmetic sponge.
Relax while the mask lure's out the positive-charged contaminants on your skin due to the ionic pull. Don't be alarmed if your face starts to pulsate, that's normal. If you have sensitive skin don't keep the mask on too long, five minutes is enough. There may be some blotchy redness once you take the mask off which is completely normal. It will go away. I like to follow this regime with a soothing mask of honey and Moringa.
Aztec Secret (1 spoonful)
Moringa (1 spoonful)
ACV (1 tbsp apple cider vinegar)
Mix all ingredients with a plastic spoon in a clay, glass or plastic bowl until its thick and smooth. (Don't use metal.)
Apple to your face with your fingers or cosmetic sponge.
Let it sit for as long as you like but it is recommended to take it off before the mask completely dries. It is normal to feel a tingling sensation. Your mask will contract as your face absorbs the trace minerals.
Wash off with warm water and a soft washcloth.
Take some cool selfies. Below are pictures of my mom and her friends when I taught them how to use these clay masks.
